WHAT is SmartZone?
Most typical heating and/or cooling systems have only one thermostat controlling the temperature of an entire home. SmartZone connects thermostats placed throughout the home to control temperature in each area individually. Using dampers that open and close to allow airflow only where needed, SmartZone efficiently and effectively controls temperature in a manner that competitive zoning methods cannot achieve.
UPGRADE to SmartZone
SmartZone can be added as an upgrade to the majority of heating and cooling systems installed in America today. Most "central-air" systems can be improved with SmartZone. Unlike some zoning alternatives that require you to completely replace or upgrade your system, SmartZone can be added (in most cases) at a fraction of the cost.

Using SmartZone allows thermostat control in several areas or rooms instead of just one. Improve comfort in warm or cool areas AND reduce wasteful airflow in unused rooms. SmartZone controls cooling & heating to go only where needed.
Some rooms too hot or too cold in your own home? Smartzone may be the answer... Separate areas of the home may have different requirements for cooling or heating. Sun exposure, appliance heat generation, fireplaces, and high ceilings that differ from room to room; the need for better control of temperature becomes not just a luxury but a necessity. In other words, you may need AC in the kitchen and not in the bedroom at the same time. Homes equipped with only ONE thermostat can have as much as a 10 degree temperature difference between where the thermostat is located and the actual room temperature where the homeowner is. For example, the thermostat may be in the hall and reading 72 degrees but the kitchen on the other side of the house is 82 degrees. SmartZone allows a thermostat to be placed in the kitchen so more airflow could be directed there instead of unused areas like bedrooms. |

Are you wasting energy in unused areas? SmartZone, not only improves temperature comfort but can also reduce wasted airflow going into unused or unoccupied areas. Dampers installed in the air duct work in conjunction with SmartZone to direct airflow ONLY where needed. If the thermostats connected to SmartZone are managed to reduce equipment run-time, energy will be saved. |
